Our Skills Training for Evolving Professionals (STEP) is a flexible, dynamic learning program designed for our hourly employees to build core competencies and deepen their knowledge through self-paced coursework. Participants develop diverse skills through job shadowing, rotation assignments, and mentoring and gain valuable experience through cross-functional group activities, exposure to leadership and building skillsets for specific career paths.
In our hybrid and remote workforce, the interactions of past and current STEP participants have been organic and natural through a virtual environment that connects the experiences of employees locally and globally. STEP gives participants opportunities to interact directly with a broader team and accomplish many projects individually with the same mission.
One of the major areas of growth in the STEP program is virtual motivation and interaction with a team through project work. Professional development is enabled by STEP through participation in various projects and workshops with leadership that can span any location. Members have been motivated to reach beyond the projects in STEP to build their own growth by pursuing certifications and building competency in various areas that will benefit their own careers.
We’re proud to share that of our 2022 STEP program participants, 97 associates were chosen to participate from 280+ nominations and across all locations and 79% of our previous STEP participants have been promoted to Senior Specialist or entry-level exempt roles.
