Job Description:
Role Summary/Purpose:
Synchrony’s identity governance and technologies organization provides centralized control solutions ensuring security and compliance to the authorization, certification and termination of access for Synchrony’s workforce and third parties. Leadership of Synchrony’s identity governance platforms is critical to the security, confidentiality, and availability of systems. The VP, Identity Integrations and Operations will lead a fully remote global team of engineers and analysts responsible for integrating and operating Synchrony’s identity governance platforms. As the integrations and operations product owner and a key thought leader, this individual will set and execute the strategy ensuring these critical services are resilient, robust, and scalable to support the current and future demands of Synchrony employees and third parties.

Essential Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate for this role will embrace the exciting blend of technical expertise, program management, and leadership that is required to be successful.
Specifically:

Provide integrations, quality assurance and operations product ownership and team leadership for Synchrony’s identity governance platforms, including SailPoint Identity IQ and SailPoint Non-Employee Risk Management (NERM).

Partner with peers to advance the product vision by creating business cases that support, quantify, and prioritize product initiatives that deliver the highest value.

Create and maintain secure authorization coding standards, design patterns and playbooks.

Provide leadership and oversight to deliver timely identity governance application integrations and platform improvements based on security and business needs.

Lead a 24/7 team ensuring highly available and secure operations for identity governance services, resolving incidents, requests and problems within SLA.

Drive operational excellence in Identity Governance integration, quality assurance and operations processes, leveraging OKRs and KPIs presented to Synchrony’s IAM subcommittee.

Define and prioritize a backlog of work including the creation of agile features and user stories. Be data-driven in prioritizing features and quality improvements, interacting closely with stakeholders and customers to be their voice when evaluating day-to-day decisions.

Execute system configuration management, vendor management, incident management, problem management, change management and critical business continuity for identity governance services. Conduct assessments of risk, cost and return on investment scenarios and impact.

Enhance and maintain oversight to Synchrony’s authorization policies, standards, controls and metrics.

Maintain deep hands-on technical knowledge of Synchrony’s application authentication and authorization architecture.

Understand and implement leading authorization industry trends, proposing strategies to continually increase Synchrony’s authorization security and user experience.

Develop and maintain value driven business relationships through effective needs analysis, program management, customer service and problem resolution.

Champion identity governance services by advising other business and technology teams on product capabilities.

Attract talent to the identity and access management team through promotion of our identity technology and governance services, while providing ongoing coaching and mentorship to the identity governance team continuously improving their knowledge, sustaining a continuous learning culture.

Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
-
BS/BA in Computer Science / other Technical degree or Business Management and 6 years of IT experience or in lieu of degree High School Diploma/GED and 10 years of IT experience.

Minimum of 5 years of experience leading integrations and/or operations with identity governance platforms (e.g. SailPoint, Saviynt, Omada) within a highly regulated environment.

Minimum of 5 years of experience leading remote and global teams.

Strong understanding of industry standard authentication and authorization protocols and technologies.
Desired Characteristics:
-
Proven record of designing, building, and administering 24/7 identity governance service infrastructures and enterprise services.

Demonstrated program leadership, facilitation, and customer service experience.

Experience as a Scrum Product Owner with familiarity of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) leveraging Jira.

Working knowledge of NIST, FFIEC, SOX and PCI authentication standards and guidance.

Experience with deploying large and complex projects engaging multiple business units and control functions

Strong commitment to providing outstanding customer experiences.

Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and can-do attitude with the flexibility to change directions quickly.

Superior written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to lead others through change.

Experience with the process of creating, maintaining and reviewing operations process & end user training documentation.

Strong analytical and clear-thinking skills

Working knowledge of ServiceNow, Okta and Delinea Secret Server.
Grade/Level: 13
The salary range for this position is 150,000.00 – 250,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
