Organizational Overview:
The AVP, Surveillance Support will be part of the Home & Auto organization in India, supporting surveillance activities related to our Surveillance pillar in CD & Sales Governance and partnering closely with U.S. stakeholders.
Role Summary/Purpose:
The AVP, Surveillance Support will report to the VP, Surveillance Planning and Analysis Leader. You will be responsible for supporting the Surveillance organization by designing, planning adoption, and analyzing surveillance tests, developing detailed business requirements, and maintaining comprehensive test documentation. This role will ensure robust documentation related to our Surveillance pillar in CD & Sales Governance . You will closely partner with our surveillance testing teams sharing thematic and specific findings to enhance and improve our process’. This position requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure client compliance with Synchrony and regulatory requirements and robust risk mitigation. Further this role may conduct surveillance and monitoring activities that validate process governance and effectiveness across our Commercial organization as well as the CD & Sales Governance organization.
Key Responsibilities:

Partner with stakeholders to gather surveillance focused requirements and translate them into testable criteria. Develop and author detailed test scripts that align with the Surveillance Program Office Standards, business requirements and testing procedures to be entered into the Enterprise Surveillance WMS (Work Management System), the Surveillance system of record. Maintain and update test scripts as processes evolve or new controls are introduced.

Provide insights into findings across the governance organization for appropriate actions, as well as review and manage identified defects through a closed loop process for findings that require action

Provide KCA (Key Control Activity) data to Client Oversight Program where appropriate as well as partner on findings to explore detailed discoveries

Review and action defects and engage with L3 Process Owners on potential issues.

Collaborate with Insights and Implementation governance team and support the surveillance owners with the sample data process and requirements

Present results effectively to leadership when requested to facilitate data-driven decision-making.

Own the ongoing maintenance, approval, and wing to wing management for job aids and procedures owned by the CD & Sales surveillance team.

Support ongoing surveillance stakeholder reporting process

Provide ongoing supplier validation reviews based on supplier risks and provide senior leadership with monthly reporting and analysis to highlight findings and implement corrective actions.

Participate in Risk Testing engagements and Internal Audits as needed

Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Required Skills/Knowledge:
-
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of financial services experience, or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of experience in a financial services role.

Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in Client eco-systems functions such as Commercial, Marketing, Credit, operations, or technology.

2+ years of demonstrated support or ownership of Surveillance practices and processes

1+ years’ demonstrated knowledge of commercial objectives and processes

Working understanding of SYF of (CTCs/CTQs)

Ability to gather, interpret, and draw insights from data to support decision-making.

Eligibility Criteria:
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of financial services experience, or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 6 years of experience in a financial services role.
Work Timings: 8 AM – 5 PM EST
The employee will be required to work Eastern Time Zone hours at least three days per week to enable effective collaboration with U.S. stakeholders. In rest of the days it will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern Time and not equivalent to IST). This window will improve flexibility for employees by limiting India US teams. The hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.
